IAABO BOARDS 52 & 161 RATINGS SYSTEM


The following Ratings Procedures are to be used in determining rankings and classification movement for the 2006-2007 season, 2007-2008 season and 2008-2009 season:

GROUP I

1A  1-40 Based on ratings

1. 41-80 Based on ratings

May work at any level, but are rated only on varsity assignments.

Original assignments are on varsity level.

GROUP II

2A  1-40 Based on ratings

1. 41-80 Based on ratings

May work at J.V. freshman, and modified levels

Ratings based on J.V. and freshman level

GROUP III

3A  1-40 Based on ratings

1. 41-80 Based on ratings (candidates + 41 and below ) may  work J.V., freshman and modified levels

Ratings based on freshman and modified levels
Ratings based on game control, appearance, attitude, communication, physical condition, punctuality, position & knowledge of rules.

MOVEMENT SIX SEPARATE CLASSIFICATIONS

Each season  the top 12 officials in each group will move up and the bottom 12 officials will move down provided the lower group officials ratings are higher than the ratings  of the officials from the higher group.

Any rating under a 4 that is not accompanied by a comment will not count.

NO AUTOMATIC RATINGS

ASSOCIATE MEMBERS:  There will not be any associate members

Any member not working 10 games will hold their grouping for one year.
Any member not working 10 games for two consecutive years will be dropped down to the top of the next lower group.

Any member not working 10 games will not be eligible for the sectionals.

Any member refusing games (assignments) in his group from B.O.C.E.S. will be dropped from that group to the group which covers the games he or she wants to work.

Any member with special circumstances, medical, job or travel related, may petition the executive board if they are unable to fulfill their 10 game obligation.
